This month, we’re inviting you to clear out your cupboards, pick up new materials, and connect with the creative community. From Glasgow to Galashiels, CAN is hosting swap events where you can give and find surplus materials—keeping them in circulation and out of landfill.

Calling all creatives in the Borders! We’re bringing a CAN Swap Event to Galashiels, helping artists, makers, and crafters access free materials while keeping resources in use. Last year, van loads of art supplies found new homes at our events—let’s do it again! Whether you have surplus materials to share or are looking for inspiration for your next project, come along and get involved.

SWAP IN THE YARD is happening! Circular Arts Network & Rumpus Room are joining forces for a big materials swap — help us fill the yard with creative possibilities!
We’re looking for spare art materials to share with young artists, makers, and dreamers. Got any paper, paint, crayons, glue, fabric, yarn, or other crafty bits lying around? Let’s put them to good use!
Alongside the swap, Rumpus Room will be hosting a community meal & 2024 programme evaluation session inside—come by, share materials, and connect!
