Learn how to make ceramic tree decorations with Studio Yōki!

Discover how to hand-build your own set of three ceramic Christmas tree decorations in this engaging workshop. Over two and a half hours, I’ll guide you through the enjoyable process of creating unique decorations from clay. 

In this hands-on activity, I will demonstrate essential techniques and provide support as you learn:

– Getting comfortable with clay properties and preparation.

– Using slab building techniques to form your decorations.

– Tips for carving into clay and refining your unique designs.

This workshop is perfectly suited for individuals new to ceramics who want to learn the basics. However, those with previous clay experience looking to practise their hand-building skills are also very welcome. 

All clay, tools, and necessary equipment for the activity are provided. Each participant will be given a clay tile to test carving tools on before carving into our decorations. 

After the workshop, I will handle the finishing touches for you – applying my shimmer white glaze, firing your creation, and stringing your decoration with twine ready for hanging.
